£33,000 Basic Salary DOE | £50,000 OTE

1 in 4 Saturdays: 8:00am – 2:00pm

Our client, a well-established automotive business based in Woolwich, is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Technician to work across a varied range of vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance within a professional and well-equipped workshop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections on customer and used vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to a high standard.
• Carry out MOT inspections and repairs where qualified.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Identify additional repair requirements and communicate these to management.
• Meet individual and departmental productivity and quality targets.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair opportunities.
• Provide clear explanations of faults and repairs where required.
• Road test vehicles when appropriate.
• Keep up to date with the latest technical information, repair methods and vehicle technology.
• Work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship.

Your Background & Skills

• IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• MOT licence would be advantageous.
• Proven experience working within a main dealer, national service/repair business or independent workshop.
• Strong experience carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and vehicle maintenance.
• Comfortable working on complex repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Good attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
• Able to work efficiently to agreed timescales and targets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
