Our Resignation Templates make Life Easier!

Leaving a job can feel daunting, especially when it comes to formally telling your manager that you’re moving on. One of the key steps in this process is writing a clear and professional resignation letter that communicates your decision respectfully.

To make this easier, we’ve created a range of resignation letter templates you can use as a foundation. Each example can be tailored to reflect your situation, role, and reasons for leaving.

Example: General resignation letter

When drafting your resignation letter, include the date and your employer’s address in line with standard business correspondence. Keep the tone polite and professional throughout. Even if your decision to leave is driven by personal concerns, it’s best to address those in a private conversation or exit interview rather than in the letter itself.

Dear [Manager’s Name],

I am writing to formally confirm my resignation from my position as [job title] at [company name]. My last working day will be [date], in line with my contractual notice period.

I’d like to express my gratitude for the experience and opportunities I’ve had during my time here. Working with the team has been rewarding, and I’ve developed skills and knowledge that I’ll carry forward in my career.

Over the next [notice period], I will ensure a smooth handover of my responsibilities and support the transition in any way I can. Please let me know how I can help.

Best regards,
[Your Name]
