This year, ACS Recruitment Consultancy celebrates a significant milestone — 20 years of success in the recruitment industry. Since our inception in 2005, we’ve earned a reputation as a trusted partner, helping candidates find their perfect roles and assisting businesses in sourcing top-tier talent. As we mark this remarkable achievement, we take the opportunity to reflect on our journey, the milestones we’ve reached, and the people who have played a pivotal role in shaping our story.
Originally founded by Kevin Curtis in 2005 as "JGA Automotive Recruitment," the company has seen several changes over the years while maintaining its unwavering commitment to excellence. In the early days, Kevin worked from home with the support of his wife, Susan. Together, they spent that first year building a robust database of clients and candidates, forging relationships that would become the foundation of the business.
In May 2006, the company took its first major step in growth, relocating to an office on Moulsham Street in Chelmsford. It was here that the team began to expand, and the groundwork for the company’s future success was firmly laid.
As ACS Recruitment continued to flourish, it relocated twice more — first to Battlesbridge in 2012, and then to Dollymans Farm in 2015. During this time, the business grew stronger, establishing itself as a trusted recruitment consultancy. However, the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought unforeseen challenges, forcing the disbandment of the close-knit team Kevin had worked hard to build.
Despite these challenges, Adam kept the business running remotely, and as demand began to rise again, Stacey stepped into the role of Recruitment Consultant, helping to manage the recovery and expansion of the business.
In 2021, ACS Recruitment made its final move to Runwell Hall Farm in Rettendon, where we continue to evolve and thrive, always ready for the next chapter.
Throughout these years, we’ve undergone three name changes, but our mission has remained steadfast. From the very beginning, we’ve been driven by our business acumen and commitment to people — always aiming to connect exceptional talent with the right opportunities.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are excited to look ahead to the future. While the automotive sector has always been at the heart of our business and remains our core focus, we’ve also ventured into new industries. We’ve been fortunate to achieve great success working with businesses in events, marketing, and sales, particularly within the Essex area. From entry-level marketing assistants to accounting directors, we’ve supported companies with a diverse range of hires, and we’re excited to continue growing our reach and making an impact in these expanding sectors.

Their leadership ensures that the business remains agile, innovative, and true to the principles that started it all.
