Basic salary up to £50,000, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
No weekends

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician who enjoys diagnosing complex faults and carrying out a variety of repairs?

ACS Automotive Recruitment Consultancy is looking for a Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join a well-established, family-run independent garage in East Hoathly.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician from a main dealer or independent workshop who wants to work as part of a small, friendly team. The garage is looking to recruit as soon as possible.

The role

You’ll be responsible for a varied range of diagnostic, servicing and repair work, including:

• Diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical faults
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Undertaking timing belt and chain replacements, engine repairs and other major mechanical work
• Using diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify and resolve faults
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying any additional work required
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician or highly experienced Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
• Confidence working independently and tackling complex repairs
• Experience gained within a main dealer or independent garage
• A methodical approach to problem-solving and pride in the quality of your work
• A reliable, professional attitude and the ability to work as part of a team

Experience with any vehicle brand will be considered. Relevant qualifications are desirable, but practical experience and diagnostic ability are key.
