Motorcycle Stock Controller - Surrey

£20-26k depending on experience - Driver/Site/Transport/Valeter

Our client, a motorcycle specialist who provide an unparalleled range of insurance and assistance services to insurers and brokers are looking for Motorcycle Stock Controller to join their growing company. Based in the TW20 postcode area of Surrey they are offering £20-26k salaries depending on experience.

The purpose of the role will be to control movement and correct storage of motorcycle stock at the company location and off-site storage locations within defined areas allocated to your responsibility, in order to ensure efficient use of space, maintain a safe/tidy site, facilitate efficient work and prevent avoidable damage.

Key duties include:

  • To control receipt of in-bound Motorcycles arriving on site for ‘Estimating Triage’ (you will normally require to be ready to meet in-bound drivers between 14:00 – 17:30 daily)
  • To place motorcycles into correct storage locations following ‘Estimating Triage’
  • To put total loss and repairable awaiting TP authority motorcycles into correct storage correct storage locations following estimate.
  • Identifying and making available motorcycles that are:
  • Ready to market salvage (as tasked by Salvage Coordinator).
  • Salvage for delivery by Drivers as sold or retained (as tasked by Logistics).
  • Motorcycles required for insurance engineers inspections (as tasked by Customer Services).
  • Salvage to be collected by external salvage agents (as tasked by Customer Services).
  • Conduct a rolling audit of storage locations as directed by Operational and Business development Manager.
  • Loading and unloading motorcycle into and from vans being used on overnight shuttle runs to ‘northern exchange points’.
     

Our client does not need applicants with lots of experience, instead someone with a keen interest and knowledge of motorcycles in general; so perhaps someone that has worked in a dealership environment in a parts/aftersales function will be suitable.

You also need to be:

  • Passionate about Motorcycles
  • Have a ‘can do attitude’
  • Be a positive person to work with
  • Be a team player who works well with others
  • Have excellent attention to detail

Hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm. Currently there are no Saturday hours but these may be introduced at a later date so the client is looking for candidates with flexibility.
