An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Motor Trade Service Advisor who excels at upselling to join a franchised main dealer in the North West London area. The basic salary on offer is £28k, plus  bonus.

This key position has a major part to play in achieving dealership success by providing a professional service to all of our client’s aftersales customers. To successfully apply for this role, you will need to have previous experience as a Service Advisor within a main dealership and have a very stable CV.

The Role of a Service Host/Service Upseller:

  • Sell additional products, services and repair works in a professional manner (Tyres & Add on especially workshop upsell bringing conversions of Red work to 70% and Amber above 20%)
  • Implementation of company and manufacturer service promotions (ALL IN and other Service plans)
  • Development of personal knowledge and experience in order to improve profitability, customer satisfaction and efficiency (All on line training to be up to date quarterly in line with audit and development standards)
  • Maximize customer awareness of all available retailer services
  • Maintain a presence at the service reception desk, ensuring that all customer queries whether in person or on the telephone are answered or dealt with immediately and all customers are updated regularly
  • Answer customer’s questions regarding technical problems in a manner that is easily understood and does not use excessive jargon, or find the appropriate member of staff to do so ensuring customers are clear and comfortable with explanations
  • Notify customers promptly of completion of work if any customer is unavailable by phone text on system must be sent to record contact made and notes detailed
  • Ensure account customers have sufficient credit to enable all work advised to be carried out as agreed if not Promoting ASF
  • Handle dissatisfied customers calmly and all customer complaints to be brought to the attention of the Service Manager if cannot be resolved by yourself in the first instance
  • Initiate job documentation and maintain customer records and follow-up systems including 1 Link and Mobex systems
  • Follow correct procedure when issuing loan cars to customers
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and job costing completed before customer arrival each time
  • Ensure all cash sales are charged and money collected on completion of work
  • Calculate accurate charges for all parts, labour and service repairs and provide customer estimates according to company policy on schedules, time and pricing
  • Promptly prepare and present invoices following completion of work, ensuring all work has been carried out as detailed and charged for and obtain payment in line with company procedures
  • Seeing all customers in and out with a professional and jovial manner ensuring customer is made welcome and comfortable at all times offering refreshments and walking customers to their cars once brought round

About you:
•    You are required to have Service Advisor experience from within the Automotive trade so that you can hit the ground running
•    The ability to work independently in a busy, pressurised environment is essential
•    Customer focus, relationship maintenance and communication skills are of paramount importance in this role
•    The successful applicant will be self-motivated, with a proactive approach to customer service
•    A flexible approach to the role is required as the opportunity to become involved in other areas of the business is possible.
•    You must be well presented and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
•    You must be IT literate

Hours of work - Monday to Friday 08.00-18.00 with and 1 in 3 Saturday’s 09.00 to 13.00 as per the rota.
