Parts Delivery Driver - Cambridgeshire

Our client, a Commercial Vehicle Truck dealer in the Cambridge area is currently looking for a Parts Delivery Driver to join their business.

You must have great product knowledge and a passion for delivering excellent customer service each and every day.

To qualify for this position, you must have experience as a Parts Delivery Driver (Van Sales) within the Automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Check all goods for delivery against advice note (invoices) ensuring that all goods are loaded, advise of any shortages, or damaged items ensuring that missing items are made up or that invoices are amended and shortages are highlighted
• Deliver all goods in line with a predetermined delivery schedules, collecting cash/cheque and PDQ payments from customers for all cash collection invoices and being responsible for its safekeeping
• Complete daily delivery sheets for each visit obtaining customers signature for receipt of goods and invoice
• Accept from the customer all parts returns as per returns policy and pass all returned goods to goods inward and obtain signature of acceptance
• Ensure that all delivery addresses are accurate at time of delivery
• Encourage the sale of parts, accessories whenever possible, acting on opportunities to sell additional products/services and market current promotions
• Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained in line with both company and legal requirements ensuring that any mechanical problems or accident damage is immediately reported
• Attend all training and meetings to achieve excellent product knowledge that is requested of you
• Follow key processes to achieve excellent customer service and upsell targets
• Be respectful and courteous to all colleagues
• Work with colleagues across the Group (parts, service and sales in particular) to provide the best service
• Understand the customer journey experience and be committed to delivering an unrivalled level of customer service and deliveries
• Ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department is in line with company standards
• Review invoices with the customer, providing a detailed explanation

What we are looking for:

• Experience as a Parts Delivery Driver/Parts Van Sales
• Can handle a busy workload and deliver on promises
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience within the Automotive industry
• Take great care and pride in your work
• Full clean Driving licence
• Have excellent face to face communication skills
