Motorcycle Purchasing & Sales Executive - Surrey

£27-33k (Negotiable for the right person) - Vehicle Sales

Our client, a motorcycle specialist who provide an unparalleled range of insurance and assistance services to insurers and brokers are looking for a Motorcycle Purchasing & Sales Executive to join their growing company in a newly created role. Based in the TW20 postcode area of Surrey they are offering £27-33k as a salary but are negotiable for the right person. Hours will be Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00 or 08:00-17:30 depending what suits the successful candidate. Some remote working flexibility is also available with this role. 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The person fulfilling this role should have experience within sales, preferably within the automotive industry. This is a role that is focused heavily around motorcycles and their derivatives; so, experience within the motorcycle trade or in-depth knowledge or motorcycles is essential. Confident and polite customer service skills is needed as this is a heavily customer focused role.

ROLE PURPOSE:
To operate as a Vehicle Purchasing & Sales Executive within our client’s retail department. The person fulfilling this role will purchase vehicles across multiple channels within the group, including non-fault salvage, salvage acquired from third party sellers, vehicles via our client’s website, repaired vehicles via our client’s repair network. These vehicles will either be passed to already established retailers within the group or once infrastructure is developed, retailed directly from an in-house operation. The person fulfilling this role will also negotiate at the lowest possible price in order to achieve maximum profit margins.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact clients and negotiate a purchase price for their damaged vehicle
- HPI vehicle to ascertain finance status (Decide on best course of action to take if finance outstanding)
- Request and receive vehicle documents where applicable
- Actively chase third party vehicle clearance
- Aid the non-fault team in raising valuation disputes, in the event the third party insurer has undervalued.
- Send payment requests to finance department for payment process
- Price inbound valuation requests via in-house purchasing website
- Communicate directly with customers in order to negotiate and purchase their vehicle
- Arrange collection and payment of purchased vehicles, liaising with internal logistics & accounts teams
- Actively sell hire bikes to internal customers once de-fleeted
- Contact the repair customers to capture potential repair opportunity
- Source new bikes for internal Engineering team when instructed

UNDERSTANDING OF PRODUCTS, SERVICES, PHILOSOPHIES, SYSTEMS AND ORGANISATION:
The person fulfilling this role should be IT literate, as they will need to use our clients IT systems in order to carry out necessary tasks. The following programs / applications will be used on a daily basis:
- eBay sales platform
- Proclaim (insurance claims management software)
- Commercial Body-shop
