Motorcycle Parts Warehouse Operative - Surrey

£20,000 - £26,000 - Parts
Ref: 2617 Date Posted: Monday 16 Jan 2023

Our client, a motorcycle specialist who provide an unparalleled range of insurance and assistance services to insurers and brokers are looking for Motorcycle Parts Warehouse Executives to join their growing company. Based in the TW20 postcode area of Surrey they are offering £20-26k salaries depending on experience.

The purpose of the role will be to accurately and efficiently process and prepare used parts for advertisement & sale. Parts will come into the production/warehouse area from various different supplies, predominantly from the companies own motorcycle dismantling/breaking facility. Preparation will include sorting, identification, cleaning and imaging of parts.

Key duties include:

  • Sort used parts, identifying which parts are suitable for retail sale
  • Accurately identify part numbers using manufacturer EPC’s
  • Clean and prepare parts ready for imaging, sometimes using our commercial cleaning equipment
  • Accurately identify and highlight damage on parts when applicable
  • Measure parts when necessary to confirm suitable for sale, accurately recording findings/measurements
  • Image parts using our custom built imaging room, making sure we maintain our high standard of images
  • Consistently hit daily production targets, as set out by the Production Manager
  • Generally help maintain an efficient production area, keeping up with general maintenance and housekeeping

Our client does not need applicants with technician experience, instead someone with a keen interest and knowledge of motorcycles in general; so perhaps someone that has worked in a dealership environment in a parts/aftersales function will be suitable.

You also need to be:

  • Passionate about Motorcycles
  • Have a ‘can do attitude’
  • Be a positive person to work with
  • Be a team player who works well with others
  • Have excellent attention to detail

Hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm. Currently there are no Saturday hours but these may be introduced at a later date so the client is looking for candidates with flexibility.
