Field Sales Executive – for Capital Equipment for the UK Automotive Body Shop Market

Our client, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of High Quality and Specialist Body Shop Equipment, is looking for a Field Sales Executive to join their experienced team to help further develop and grow their sales in the UK market.

Ideally, you should be an experienced Field Salesperson with current or recent knowledge of the Body Shop/Accident Repair industry.

Or you could be a new Field Salesperson, with a good panel beating or mechanical background, with an outgoing personality, who will be trained up to be a fully functioning Field Salesperson.

Your Location in the UK is not important.

As an Experienced Salesperson you will have:

  • A very good personal sales track record in capital equipment sales in the accident repair body shop market, selling directly to body shop managers/owners on a regional or national basis.
  • Knowledge of and ideally selling/sold welders, riveters, jig benches, infrared paint curing, wheel aligners, 2 post and 4 post lifts and other similar Bodyshop equipment. Or you could be selling/sold complementary capital equipment of paint spray guns, compressors, etc. into the body shop market. 
  • Capable of proactively selling, on a direct basis, a wide range of equipment to both new customers, as well as to existing customers, and also able to provide expert technical advice to customers.
  • A panel beating background would be ideal, so that you are experienced in using the body shop equipment and tooling in a body shop environment.
  • A highly motivated and self-starting person.
  • Great inter-personal skills.

As a Trainee Salesperson you will have:

  • A background ideally in panel beating or in mechanical/engineering.
  • A highly motivated and self-starting person.
  • Great inter-personal skills.
  • Once trained, will be capable of proactively selling, on a direct basis, a wide range of equipment to both new customers, as well as to existing customers, and also able to provide expert technical advice to customers.

Day to day Duties will include:

  • Account Management and Growth of Existing Accounts
  • Development of New Accounts, either Directly, or from Sales Leads generated by the company.
  • Ensuring that Sales Leads generated by the business are promptly and effectively followed up.

You will Benefit from:

  • A competitive Basic Salary of up to £45,000 p.a. - depending on your experience/capability.
  • Commission – based on your personal sales achieved each year - expected to be at £5,000 to 10,000 p.a. level, but this is uncapped giving you great potential to earn.
